The 6th Latin American School for Education, Cognitive and Neural Sciences (LASchool), funded by the James S. McDonnell Foundation, will be held from 7th to 18th March 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The LASchool is a meeting that gather Students and Faculties from all over the world in Latin America to build new bridges between Education, Cognitive and Neural Sciences. Each year, LASchool’s participants work together for two weeks critically examining ideas and findings that are potentially relevant to both the Educational and Scientific communities. LASchool series have been inspired by the ideas raised in The Santiago Declaration, in 2007.
Since 2011, LASchools took place in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. All these experiences have brought together more than 150 researchers and 250 students in a continuing effort to promote the scientific work at the interface between Education and Science.
Next year, the LASchool will be organized by the Neuroscience Laboratory of the Torcuato Di Tella University and will take place in a large, very comfortable and countryside estancia located 70km from the international airport of Buenos Aires, Argentina. A vast estate, stretching almost as far as the eye can see, surrounds it.
The goal of the LASchool is to critically examine research findings that are potentially relevant to the development, design, and implementation of effective educational practices and to train a new generation of researchers, able to operate at the interface between Education and Science.
Nonconformists are invited to apply.
